About the Business

It was originally set up to carry out furniture deliveries for several local retailers including Allders Department Stores. In 1989 Ian Siddle (The current MD) joined the company from Allders where he worked in the transport department. The knowledge gained by delivering large furniture items and domestic appliances gave Arnold & Self the experience it needed to operate in the removals market.

Over the years the business was developed by adding furniture storage, archive storage, commercial and International Removals.

Today we operate a fleet of 8 vehicles from our 14,000 square foot warehouse on the Willow Lane Trading Estate.

The current team consists of Ian (Managing Director) with Debbie and Grace running the office.

Debbie is our office manager and is ably assisted by Grace. They are responsible for the day to day running of the business. From taking customer calls, arranging survey appointments to preparing crews paperwork and corresponding with customers in preparation for their movie date.
